orchestra concerto

My sweet grandpa came to hear my concert! He and Alice drove 6 hours all for a 2 hour concert only to turn around the next morning and head back to Roosevelt. So sweet of them.

All the faithful supporters! Love you girls! There I am!

Nice candid shot of us. Alice was having too much fun with the camera! We went to Applebee's after the concert. I forgot to mention that Grandpa left me with a jar of change! It brought me back to the good old days when he and Grandma would save all their change and when the grandkids came for the reunions they would give it to us. The older cousins would pour out all the money on the floor and then count it. It was then divided evenly among each of the cousins. Of course we spent it on candy- what else is there?

Ropes course

I went on a date to the ropes course we have in Rexburg. I was a little scared, but it turned out all right. I'm still here. I did have to sign a waiver in case I came crashing down...





Scary but fun. My heart dropped when I let go of the rope, but it was a blast! Oh yeah and I climbed one of the logs(not the dangling ones) in the background before this. Very challenging. It took all I had and that wasn't even enough! I was sore and numb from the cold rain. haha It was an experience!

If you think this picture looks awkward that's because it is. We had to swing on a rope from one platform to a log. The log was marked off and we were supposed to get everyone in between the markers. I was the last person to go and there wasn't any room left so this is what happened... I held on for dear life.

For this little team building activity you had to lean all of you weight on the other person as you slid along two ropes that got farther and farther away. We almost made it to the end!

dang squirrels

Okay, so let me just say that the squirrels around here are entirely too domesticated. They feel that they have the right to sit right outside our apartment door as if we're going to feed them. AND when I bang the broom in their face they just stare at me. They don't run- they stare, then they get closer as if they will attack.

FHE with President Erying

President Eyring came to our FHE! Probably the coolest thing ever. A girl in our ward signed us up to have FHE with Pres. Clark. It just so happened that President Eyring was going to be speaking the next day (Tues.) at devotional, so he was going to come to our family home evening with Pres. Clark. It was a question/answer kind of deal. It was so great to be in his presence. He is just so down to earth. Sometimes I forget that the Apostles and Prophet are just people too. Well, not just people, but you know what I mean.

Driving Range

So my roommate Shayla is pretty much an expert at every sport. She took me and two of my other roommates to the driving range. It was a blast! I am lacking terribly in the whole athletic area buuut, I think I found my new calling in life... We had to document this experience, the WHOLE experience...the pics are out of order like always.

BESTEST BUDS

I love these two people. I am always grateful for the opportunity to be home from school in the winter so I can hang out with them. They are two great examples to me. I miss them A LOT!

Halloween Carnival

The Friday before Halloween the elementary schools around Rexburg had their carnivals. They needed volunteers from BYUI and we thought it sounded like fun. Kassi, Brittany, and I were in charge of this monster operation "booth". The kids had to feel the hands(jello filled gloves), toes(green olives), Intestines(spaghetti), heart(frozen tomato), Brains( water beads. They couldn't see any of it except for the toes and hands. Some of those kids were so funny and WOULD NOT touch any of it! Others were a little smart alec-y and would say, "that's spaghetti!" It was really fun, but after two hours, we were so tired! It was only 7:30 when we were done, but it felt more like 10:00! There was a guy who was volunteering for a class that Stephanie got put with. At first we thought he was single. Brittany was like yeah Steph! I'm pretty good at scouting out the married guys, so I had to break it to them that he was married. Bummer for us!
